My music

When you look at the music I write/arrange, you could say that there are two types (or maybe categories is a better word ?).

The first genre is my music for HaFaBra and I guess this would be the reason of your visit to this page because this is the kind of music that is distributed in several countries all over the world. HaFaBra is an abbreviation used in Dutch for harmonie (Concert band in English), fanfare and brass band.
To be honest, I never intended to write music for HaFaBra. But this started in 1996 as a little joke. And I really loved it to write music for this genre, so this became my most important domain for writing music. The second kind of music I write could be classified as Easy Listening. At least, that's how I like to call it. I started early with this genre. The first "real composition" in this genre is my "Eternity" for clarinet (see my page about Writing Music). I wrote quite a lot of Easy Listening music since then and many people describe this kind of music even as "music for (movie) backgrounds".
I'm writing this music only for pleasure, there's no distribution or selling of it. But maybe one day someone will contact me with the question to use some of this music ... You never know.
