I will tell you something about myself on this page.
Just a little bit of information about my daily life ...
My father's name is Elie Pletinckx, he was born in 1949. My mother's name is Yvette Monnier, she was born in 1953. They got married on April 28th, 1973.
I was born exactly one year later, on April 28th 1974, in Geraardsbergen (which is located in the Flemish part of Belgium). So you could say that my father did know something about mathematics and biology ;o)
I have a "little" sister Karen. She was born in 1981.
My parents live in a small town called Moerbeke next to Geraardsbergen. And up until now I also still live in this beautiful little town.
I went to school in Geraardsbergen and when I was 16 I started studying the saxophone at the Ghent and Brussels "Kunsthumaniora" (maybe you could translate this as "secondary education for art"). However, I chose not to become a professional musician. So after the Kunsthumaniora I obtained a bachelor as a computer scientist (programmer/analyst). But as you can see, music still remains my passionate hobby ...
I married my wife, Sophie Troch, in 2001. She was born on April 14th 1977. We have two kids : Britt and Lucas. Britt is the oldest, she was born on April 20th 2002. Lucas was born on April 12th 2005.
So maybe you already noticed : all members of my family were born in April. Just a coincidence, but a nice one !
Right now I'm working as a computer scientist for the federal government in Brussels. In my daily job I'm an Unix systems and database administrator. However, music still remains my great passion ;o)
